The true Israel of Yahweh represents all believers who are led by His Spirit and transformed by the renewing of their minds, through the Messiah who is the very image of Yahweh (Colossians 1:15-17, Romans 12:2, Titus 3:4-5).
Our Messiah and Savior is Yahweh, who is referred to as the everlasting Father and Almighty God in Isaiah 9:6. He also identified Himself as the Father during a significant conversation with Philip, as recorded in John 14:9. In this passage, He said, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”
Our Messiah spoke in parables to illustrate what is spiritually discerned, as demonstrated in Luke 11:20. But if I with the finger of Yahweh cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of Yahweh is come upon you.
Mat 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand
- ‘Yahweh’s New Covenant’ is given unto a Spiritual Israel, which represents all believers who develop a personal and faithful relationship with Him (John 4:23-24).
- For those who call upon the name of Yahweh shall be saved (Romans 10:13, Acts 2:21, Joel 2:32).
The promise of the Old Testament Law was fulfilled through our Messiah the Savior.
He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second (Heb 10:9-10, 2 Cor 3:14).
Attempting to follow the Old Testament law without embracing the saving grace offered through the new covenant of the promised Messiah ultimately leads to spiritual death.
The Old Testament Law, given to Moses, revealed Yahweh’s holy requirements and highlighted humanity’s inability to perfectly uphold them, demonstrating our need for a Savior.
Therefore, the Law pointed to the necessity of something beyond our own efforts to achieve righteousness: grace through faith in Yahweh (Eph 2:8).
Yahweh’s New Covenant with Israel
The basis of the second covenant is associated with the work of Yahweh as the Messiah.
The first covenant was written on tablets of stone, the second in the hearts and minds of Yahweh’s elect (2 Cor 3:3-6, Heb 8:10, Eze 36:26-28, Jer 31:33).
- With the establishment of the New Covenant, those who will become a part of the family of Yahweh are born again and receive the promise of eternal life (John 3:6, 1 Peter 1:23).
- When this transformational event occurs, the Spirit of Yahweh (which is not a separate person of the trinity) dwells within us (Pro 1:23, Eze 36:27, Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17-18).
1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of Yahweh, and that the Spirit of Yahweh dwells within you?
Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter
Those who partake in Yahweh’s New Covenant celebrate the birth, life, testimony, death, and resurrection of our Savior and Messiah, who was revealed in a fleshly temple, to wash away the sins of mankind (1 Timothy 3:16).
Our Messiah revealed that David (in the Spirit) called Him Yahweh. Refer to the cutting edge study guide that one reader called revolutionary. It is entitled, “the Lord said unto my Lord” (Psalm 110:1, Mark 12:35-37, Mat 22:42-45).
Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Messiah; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto Yahweh
Yahweh declared that He would make a New Covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah (Jer 31:31-33). The identity of who He would establish this covenant with is essential if we are to understand all of the characteristics of the true Spiritual Israel (Gen 12:3, Heb 8:9-13).
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Malachi 2:11 Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem, for Judah hath profaned the holiness of Yahweh which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god
- The tribes of Israel, that included Judah, were at one time the bride of Yahweh, as they were Spiritually married to Him.
- However, many evil acts of whoredoms were committed against Yahweh.
- As a result, the promises made to those who violated the conditions of Yahweh’s Holy Covenant would become null and void (Deuteronomy 28:1-64).
Jer 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also
Sometimes a bad marriage must end with a divorce especially when adultery is involved.
- The ‘false house of Judah’ was also put away for great wickedness.
- Messiah declared “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate” (Matt 23:37-38).
The Israel of Yahweh Are Redeemed
The fulfillment of the promise to the Israel of God is found in part in the following six verses.
Isaiah 11:11 prophesies a future, second act of divine intervention where Yahweh gathers the remnant of His people from across the globe, including Assyria, Egypt, and the islands of the sea. This is when the true Israel of Yahweh is redeemed.
Isaiah 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of Yahweh shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away
Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Messiah’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise
Luke 1:68 Blessed be Yahweh God of Israel; for he hath visited even to redeem his people
Luke 1:68 refer to all believers in Yahweh, as he did not only come to set free those that resided in Judea. This includes the faithful remnant of all of the tribes of Israel scattered worldwide, rather than limiting salvation solely to Judean residents.
Rom 9:6 Not as though the word of Yahweh hath taken none effect, for they are not all Israel, which are of Israel
The identity of the true Israel of Yahweh need not be a mystery, all who accept Messiah as savior represent the commonwealth (or citizens) of Israel (Eph 2:12,14-19).
